Finding F-1611

“After controlling gender, atopy, doctor-diagnosed asthma, weight, height, parental asthma/allergy and smoking status, we found only the concentrations of PM2.5 were significantly associated (OR = 1.30, 95% CI = 1.10–1.91) with elevated of FeNO levels in school children from urban areas (p < 0.05).”

Structure

Factor
Particulate matter (PM₂.₅ and PM₁₀)
Outcome
Fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO)
Setting
school
Study design
cross-sectional study of school children: indoor pollutants measured in suburban and urban schools and related to fractional exhaled nitric oxide in two-level hierarchical logistic regression models (class 4)
Effect
OR 1.30 (1.10–1.91)
Caveat
the fine particle fraction, adjusted for sex, atopy, doctor-diagnosed asthma, weight, height, parental asthma or allergy and smoking status
